6. what is your favorite holiday dish? oooo... lots to choose from... shepards pie and the cheesy potatoes my granny would make on Christmas Day!!!

7. favorite holiday memory as a child? skating on our pond!!! and the Christmas program on Christmas Eve... trying to remember my lines and speak clearly into the microphone!!! Oh the pressure!!!!

14. what's the most important thing about the holidays? Jesus' Birth!!!!!!!!! Family togetherness! Being thankful and blessing others!

15. what is your favorite holiday dessert? Pie. Pumpkin preferably!

16. what is your favorite holiday tradition? being with my family! hands down!

ok people.... THIS cowl with the little leaf embellishment is making me smile this morning!!!

it is still dark out... Curious George is on, my Toasted Southern Pecan coffee is brewing and me and miss thang are chilling on a Sunday morning before church....

it is the children's program this morning at church (sweet buggy is too little still to take part) and i cannot wait!

there is nothing better than little kids belting out songs in front of an eager congregation - all there to celebrate Jesus' birthday!!!! i may just have to join in :-)

i braved the madness at Target yesterday (let's just say this: i drank my large fountain beverage, studied my list, didn't look left or right, got in. got out. got home!)

it was a success - AND i got a pair of pink sequin shoes for josie on the SaLe rack...

she pretty much loves them AND last night put them on OVER her footie pajamas!

We made it... yes we did!

It's been a whirlwind of a week, and this morning I contemplated how much energy I had:

*Do I have the energy to curl my eyelashes... that sucker can take a toll on the old fingers..

*Should I brew one pot of coffee, or have another batch for back-up?

*Is it ok to just eat the coffee beans whole??

I haven't gotten the best sleep lately, when the hubster is away I sleep with one eye open... but alas, He Is HOME!!!! All is right with the world!!! A*M*E*N!

This chick is doing something a little bit crazy... gonna just put the pedal to the metal... life is too short... and hair is hair... right!?! am I right!?? Oh Lord I hope I'm right....

I am getting a body wave perm - I prefer to leave out the "perm" part because it scares me.. so we're going to call it a "Body Wave" that sounds very ocean friendly doesn't it!?

I am hoping that this gives my straight as a board hair some Uumph... a little wave (if you will)...

either that or it is going to look like I stuck my finger in a light socket... either way, I'm cool with it... gotta change it up, embrace something new and fun... after all, it is Christmas! :-)

On a different note, Miss Thang has discovered the joy of a "Pee Party" aka (a Tea Party) ..

Basically it involves a little table in the kitchen filled to the brim with all of her play cups, plates, silverware, food, etc... and we PAAARRRRTTTAAAYYYY... then she puts it all back in the bucket and starts again... except it's at the actual kitchen table, her bed, the island in the kitchen, last night I think quite a bit of the paraphernalia ended up in the bathtub with her... it's so fun to watch! And hearing her say "My have a PEE PARTY!" in all childlike innocence is a riot!

**Good Morning Sweet Friends**

I found the picture above this morning and it warmed my heart...

the caption underneath was "a blessing" and it got me thinking about how blessings come in all different shapes and sizes....

perhaps it is a snuggle from a pet, a letter in the mail from a friend, a phone call from your mother just so she can say "I love you to the moon and back" right before you close your eyes for the night, and speaking of my sweet mama... her birthday was on Saturday and nobody deserves a more WONDERFUL birthday celebration than her!
