Earlier in the week, I did a post about {THANKS}giving with a few ideas I had found online...
since then, I have been reflecting on teaching Josie about being thankful for what we have, and realizing how very blessed we are... because some people aren't as fortunate.
I want her to be a loving, compassionate, giving girl... and realize that Brian and I are shaping her each and every minute of her life... I know this isn't mind boggling - or really a surprise to any of us... I just feel like it is important enough to mention, AND to share the fact that I am going to do my very best, just like my precious treasure of a mother did! We were raised to never take anything for granted... and I only hope I can be as amazing of a mother as mine is!
lOVe You mARMIE.
What great qualities to instill in your daughter! I'm sure you are doing an amazing job!
ReplyDeletelovely post, friend! it melts my heart when my girls are sweet to each other and others. makes me think i'm doing ok after all....lol! ;) hugs!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nikki! Raising a child is such a huge responsibility but also such a huge blessing. :) Thanks for the reminder that every moment counts. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!
It is scary sometimes thinking how much our little ones are absorbing at every moment, and how absolutely *present* that requires us to be when we are with them.
ReplyDeleteBut it's also exciting too. I think having my son in my life teaches me as much as I teach him!
Thanks for sharing your lovely thoughts. I'm sure your little girl will be as kind, thankful and giving a person as you clearly are!
