So.... earlier in the week I was chosen by Angela

Here's the dealie-o:

I LOVE stuff like this... so here it goes....

11 things about lil old me:

1. I wear contacts and have horrible vision! If I am not wearing them, or my glasses I pretty much run into walls (not even kidding.. it's so bad!)

2. I had braces when I was younger, and got the rubber bands changed on them according to the holiday that was closest (black/orange for Halloween, etc...) it was my FAVORITE thing EVER!

3. I am extremely clumsy and always seem to be paying attention to the wrong thing, and then either run into something or someone.... seriously!!! I am the child that walked with her head down and ran into every light pole on main street! not. even. messing. withya!

4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE purses and usually am carrying a LARGE bag of some kind... my husband calls my purse a "samsonite suitcase" but a girls gotta have the essentials with her at. all. times.

5. I love pizza and could eat it every night!!!

6. When I was preggo, I CRAVED icecream!!! Especially chocolate dip cones (YUM!)

7. I like to use a shampoo/conditioner in ONE - can we say lazy!?

8. I wear Juicy Couture perfume!!! (Mmmm... it's todiefor!)

9. I am terrified of sharks, and really don't even like to watch shark movies on tv. (Hello Jaws, that's you!)

10. Nobody. I repeat: NOBODY makes me laugh like my BFF!

11. I would love to be a nurse someday!

I have a hot stone neck and back massage scheduled at the resorts Spaaaaaaaa for Saturday afternoon - you may hear me sighing and rejoicing all the way from your cozy home!

I have never had the hot stone type of massage and am PUMPED!!!!!

I have not packed (what else is new) but plan to at some point today! :-) or tomorrow morning as we are walking out the door (what usually happens - ha!)

We are ringing in the New Year with FAMILY and it is a guaranteed WONDERFUL time!

Well isn't that precious WEDNESDAY...

Good Morning my dears...

--> how is everyone recovering from the grand Christmas celebration?

perhaps you are STILL celebrating?!? (oh dear that sounds tiring...)

we leave for a l-o-n-g weekend up NoRtH in a few days, and I am rip roaring ready for relaxation!

On a new note... I went to Target last night, and about fell flat on my face when I saw that ALL (and I mean ALL) of the Valentine's Day "stuff" was out and ready for action!

For REAL people!?

It isn't even January!!!!

What the heck is the rush?

Then I browsed, saw a few things that I think I will go back for once Valentine's Day is a little closer.. and moved on.

It was onto the salon to cover up the MASSIVE amount of gray hairs that have decided to make a temporary home on my head!

what is your take on headbands?

do you wear them?

do they hurt your head and avoid them like the plague?

I prefer soft, cloth, wide headbands - keeps my hair out of my eyes and looks funky too!

ok... THIS is going to be my new screen saver...

long story short: we had to find a new home for our pup Harley last week and i have cried for hours upon hours... but know that it was absolutely the right decision.

i didn't do a blog post about it because it has been too hard... he just wasn't a good family dog that can handle being around kids and chaos...

someday i will have a golden, and he (or she) will be a wonderful addition to the fam!!!

it is still dark out... Curious George is on, my Toasted Southern Pecan coffee is brewing and me and miss thang are chilling on a Sunday morning before church....

it is the children's program this morning at church (sweet buggy is too little still to take part) and i cannot wait!

I haven't gotten the best sleep lately, when the hubster is away I sleep with one eye open... but alas, He Is HOME!!!! All is right with the world!!! A*M*E*N!

This chick is doing something a little bit crazy... gonna just put the pedal to the metal... life is too short... and hair is hair... right!?! am I right!?? Oh Lord I hope I'm right....

I am getting a body wave perm - I prefer to leave out the "perm" part because it scares me.. so we're going to call it a "Body Wave" that sounds very ocean friendly doesn't it!?

I am hoping that this gives my straight as a board hair some Uumph... a little wave (if you will)...

either that or it is going to look like I stuck my finger in a light socket... either way, I'm cool with it... gotta change it up, embrace something new and fun... after all, it is Christmas! :-)

On a different note, Miss Thang has discovered the joy of a "Pee Party" aka (a Tea Party) ..

Basically it involves a little table in the kitchen filled to the brim with all of her play cups, plates, silverware, food, etc... and we PAAARRRRTTTAAAYYYY... then she puts it all back in the bucket and starts again... except it's at the actual kitchen table, her bed, the island in the kitchen, last night I think quite a bit of the paraphernalia ended up in the bathtub with her... it's so fun to watch! And hearing her say "My have a PEE PARTY!" in all childlike innocence is a riot!

I found the picture above this morning and it warmed my heart...

the caption underneath was "a blessing" and it got me thinking about how blessings come in all different shapes and sizes....

perhaps it is a snuggle from a pet, a letter in the mail from a friend, a phone call from your mother just so she can say "I love you to the moon and back" right before you close your eyes for the night, and speaking of my sweet mama... her birthday was on Saturday and nobody deserves a more WONDERFUL birthday celebration than her!

a surprise floral delivery from my mama :-)

a husband who never seizes to amaze me... i believe he said "oh honey, it sounds like you have had a baaaaaaaad day. Do you need a little present?" Yes. Yes I do. and he instructed me where to look for the hidden present (pretty sure I had checked everywhere - wow! good hider) and in a little envelope was a Pandora charm.... BE STILL MY HEART!

ok...

the mall of america was complete mayhem - not gonna lie... it wasn't pretty!

my poor darling daughter was so overwhelmed, overstimulated, tired and "over it" by about 10 minutes into the experience....

there were SO MANY PEOPLE and not enough space to walk, push a stroller, deal with a child having a tantrum, sweat a little, and drink a diet coke all at the same time.

i managed to hit a few stores, after miss thang fell asleep in her stroller AND word on the street is that my dimpled dude of a husband purchased something for me and it is hidden in our room... i have looked ALL OVER and still nothin'.... no, i am not 12... yes, i love to know what i am getting for christmas, birthdays, valentine's day, anniversaries, etc... sorry! :-) mama no likey surprises!

we managed to make it home (thru major SNOWFALL) without crawling into balls and crying a little from the madness... the hubster had to plow, josie got the stomach flu, and i have taken several long, hot baths, and am trying to remember to take it all in stride....

if mary can give birth in a stable, then i can handle flu bugs and a traveling husband.

'nough said.

on a different note... found this and had to print it out and plaster it to my cupboard!
